Kowloon Shangrila Hotel

For our Hongkong/Macau trip we stayed at Kowloon Shangrila Hotel. It’s located at Tsim Sha Tsui and has a fantastic view of the Harbor, at least from our room.

Our room was huge.

Complimentary Tea and Apple
And a complimentary tea and apples in the room when we arrived. Pretty neat, huh?

Bathroom
The bathroom was well-equipped: shampoo, bath gel, conditioner, comb, hair dryer, cotton buds, razor with cream, toothbrush and toothpaste, pontytail, lotion, etc. I shouldn’t have brought my toiletries. LOL!

The “office supplies” was also well stocked. I guess their market is geared towards business travellers.

I loved our stay there. The room was immaculately cleaned everyday, with turn down service every night. There was a little glitch though. Waiters at the breakfast buffet weren’t exactly the 5 star kind.

It’s like this..The receptionist welcomes us, asks for our room number and how many people are eating. Brings us to the table and asks us: coffee or tea? We answer, coffee. But we’re already halfway through our breakfast and the coffee still has not arrived. It made me a little annoyed. Why ask us if we wanted coffee or tea when you cannot relay it to the waiters? Happened three mornings in a row.

Another thing, on our fourth day, the receptionist did not bother to ask us if we wanted coffee or tea. So we just called the waiter and asked for coffee. Guess what he brought? Tea! We only realized it when we tasted it already.

Busy? Well, they were. But that does not excuse their service. I mean, people pay about $300++ for one night and you get a mediocre or even sub par service at the breakfast buffet. Not cool.

Except for the not so good service at the F&B, everything else was perfect.
