Hotel Review: Manila Marriott Hotel

I totally enjoyed our stay at Manila Marriott Hotel. It’s a great hotel with great staff! Everything was smooth from arrival to check-in to the lovely rooms. I would recommend this hotel without any hesitation.

Selling point for this hotel:
1) Great location. It’s very near the airports.
2) For shopaholics, the hotel is connected with Newport Mall.
3) Lovely rooms.
4) Great staff. Worth mentioning are the front office people and the waiters at the breakfast buffet.
5) Great breakfast selection.

It’s still about a month before our next vacation but I have already finished booking our ticket and accommodation this afternoon.

I always book early as much as possible to get early bird discounts from hotels. Hotels and hotel booking companies usually have 21-day advance purchase discount of about 15%.

I booked our accommodation at Manila Marriott Hotel and since I booked 21 days prior to our travel, I secured the 15% discount!

It is still a bit pricey Manila standards but I promised myself a treat during this vacation in payment for the anxiety I have gone through the past couple of weeks. LOL!

We will only stay here for a couple of days while we fix our condominium in Boni.

It’ll be our first time at Manila Marriott and I am hoping we’ll have a fantastic time. Customer reviews from different booking sites sound promising.

We’ll see.

Hotel Review: Hongkong Skycity Marriott Hotel

I love hotels. I keep telling myself, when I grow up I want to build a hotel of my own. LOL!

I studied Hotel Administration when I was in college. And later on worked in Sheraton Fullmoon Maldives in Maldives. I may have left the industry but I am still in love with hotels. Whenever I book for our accommodation, it always takes a long time for me decide because I research first and make sure we stay in the “best” possible hotel around that area.

I remember I had a little difficulty choosing our hotel in Hongkong back in 2010. It was our first time in Hongkong and I wanted a nice place, a convenient one and of course one the suits our budget.

I chose Hongkong Skycity Marriott Hotel and I am glad I did. It’s near the airport (just a free shuttle away) and close to Hongkong Disneyland (a free shuttle away too courtesy of the hotel), the main point of that trip.

One factor that I also consider when checking out hotel rooms are the linens. I don’t want any flowery sheets. I just want a simple and plain white linens on the bed.

On our second visit to Hongkong, we stayed in Shangrila Kowloon. Two different brands but both very nice hotels.
